If I had to go with one of the three choices you are considering, my choice would be the silver. Black, as previously stated, looks great but is just too hard to keep clean. Red, in my opinion, looks good only on Porsches, Ferrari's and old Corvettes.

Go with silver or tungsten grey, they are so easy to keep clean and they look good even when they are dirty. I have owned 4 black cars in my lifetime and they were all a nightmare to keep clean, but when they are clean it's a thing of beauty.

I had a black car for my first car, and after a year it had swirl marks to death. Any color you get make sure you read up on how to take PERFECT care of your paint. You can have the coolest car around but if you don't take care of it, it'll look like complete crap. You better have a garage spot to park it if you want black..

I don't see many white stangs around. They look pretty sweet, you can get any stripe color you want haha. I'm also partial to vista blue, why don't you look at the new 08 colors?

Black is nice but as previously stated REALLY hard to keep clean. ANY imperfection WILL stick out like a sore thumb. I would say STAY AWAY FROM RED. Youll get pulled over too often. Theres a reason why its called 'arrest me red'.
Silver is a good color, easy to keep clean, hides imperfections well. Personally, I'd go with Tungsten (charcoal grey), easy to keep clean and blends with the road nicely so youre not as noticable.
+1 on the life insurance for you. Make sure you learn how to drive your car well before you go do any crazy **** in it.

From years of experience DO NOT GO BLACK! If you want a color that appears clean the longest and doesn't show scratches and swirls definately go Silver, Grey or even the light Windviel Blue, Any color darker will show every thing. Of course Black and the new Torch Fire Red are BEAUTIFUL, so It all really depends on how much your going to drive her and how much work are you "honestly" going to be williing to effort to keep her detailed.

Black is great looking and I have no problems keeping it clean.
