Might be a re-post but...Is it possible to drop a...
Crate engine in the 05-08 Mustangs? Let's say a Ford Racing engine that goes for $4-7000 big ones. Besides the engine cost, can someone guestimate what else needs to be done and what the cost might be? Will the electronics in the car still work? Thanks.

Why would you do that? using that motor you would never pass the state inspection. It would be a track car only. I would say if your going to spend that kind of money then have your current motor built up to get the same HP.

Yeah, I did a few searches and found some people talking about it. Only seems possible for those fortunate with tons of money. I guess my only option for the future is F/I and maybe re-build some things....[&o]

in a world where people put caddy 500s in chevettes, grand national turbo v6s in metros, and ls1s in 240s, I'm sure it's possible...anything is..."speed's expensive, how fast do you want to go?" But why bother, when you can get 800HP out of a s/c 5.4 with bolt-ons? I have no idea what any of this would cost...expensive but speed always is...
