Yep the key here is making sure the overall height of the tires is the same or at least very close like .3

If you get to much of a difference it will effect the ABS

If you go to each website for the tire manufacture you want they should list the sizes in the tire you want so you do not need to do any test fitting as long as you go with the proper sized tire. Also many tire places will not mount and remount tires simply for you to test fit them.

btw your car looks SICKK!! what kind of springs did you get and how much did they drop your car?

ORIGINAL: grabberorange1

I wouldn't tell you that it didn't rub, if it was rubbing! No mods, No rub. Its definitely close but the springs are stiff in the front and it has close to 1K miles on the tiresnow with no issues. Here's a close pic front and rear, if your car is not lowered then you for sure won't have any issues.I spent a few hours in the tire shop looking at different widths and sidewall sizes...it can be confusing because the same 40 series tirein a245 willbe a little shorter in sidewall height. If you go with a 295/40 in the rear, the sidewall is going to be taller than these. The other issue is finding a matched set of tires in the sizes you want...have your tire guy mount them up for you, if you don't like them try something else. good luck.

Sorry for your loss of HP.

unless you're racing for a living or going to the track, who cares. if you've got a CAI+tune you're already offsetting the loss and then some.

we've already got 300 horses to start out with so it's not like i am all of a sudden driving a yugo after throwing 20's on.

I say leave the 20s for cadillacs. They dont belong on performance vehicles.

jts,
LOL ok hope you get over OUR hp loss. As for us.Please don't fret too long as I'mguessing the supercharger under the hood of our GTwill more than make up for ANY hp loss cause by our 20 inch rims!

grabber,
Nice ride!

gtpimp,
On both of our06 vert Mustangswe have 255x35 front 285x30 rear BFG KDW2. Don't be scared of the 30 series they actully have almost the same amount of side wall as the 255x35 because it is a ratio based on tire width.

Everyone has pics of after they are mounted I thought I'd show before pics.
The other tire is a stock 235x55x17 Pirelli.
