well if i spray them face down, the paint wouldnt have come out even, or right.. bc the can would be almost horrizontal.. i thought aobu tthat b4 i did it.. but not for the reason that it could run.. i dunno .. whatever.. im not worried abou tit..
When you spraywith the object face down (the preferred method for best paint flow on the object being painted) you simply hold the can at approx a45 degree angle.(not horizontal).

Not only do you want the lenses out for spraying you don't need to be spraying near your car for that matter. ...but whatever; just telling ya, no runs on a flat table top postioned object.

Spray those puppies flat. Hold can at 45 degree angle.
Try lighter coats as the manufacturer suggests.
Dont get in a hurry.

Oh ok, when you said "well if i spray them face down, the paint wouldnt have come out even, or right.. bc the can would be almost horrizontal." I thought you didn't know about the advantage of spraying flat vs. vertical. Anyway.... yeah I hear ya on the thin coats; some rattle cans don't like to spray thin wet coats so you have to go slower and a bit heavier so it flows. I get what ya saying.

Not sure about rattle cans clear taking to 1000, then 2500 or 3000 wet sanding; might be fine, if so, cool, then hand polish with fine cut glazing compound and wax. Best of luck to ya!!

I would love to tint but in the event of an accident (getting hit in the rear) the party that hits you can say thatthey could not see the brake lights withyour modified lenses. Even if not against the law, that's what you can expect the other party to use with the ins co and in court if necessary. If there is bodily injury you can be certain that this will be an issue and you will so wish you hadn't modified (tinted) your brake light lenses. YOU can be at fault. it could easily be up to a judge or civil case jury. ...not putting myself in that position and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Sorry, off the spray painting topic but you might consider the static cling versions for show, cruise nights, etc. but not for road use.

I hate getting behind someone with tinted tail lights. In the daytime hours, the tint makes it hard to see when the brake is applied. Tinted tail lights should only be used for show, cruises, off road etc. but on public roads.
