Vinyl light overlays from stangmods.com - poor fitment, or installer laziness?
For those of you who purchased the vinyl lens overlays from stangmods.com - I have all the overlays except the fog lights and head lights. The taillight ones were cut SO poorly that if I hadn't also purchased the AVS taillight rings to go around them, I would have returned them. The theird brake light one is cut a bit on the smaller side, too..
The rear side markers are BIG.. Like so big I think I need to go buy an exacto knife and trim them down. I haven't even bothered to try and install the front ones yet after seeing how ****ty these other ones are made. You'd think for $50 bucks for some cheap vinyl you'd get something that was at least cut to fit.. I feel like I could have done better with a pair of scissors and some vinyl from the local hobby shop or something...
Did anyone else have issues with this stuff, or did I just get a bad batch? I'm thoroughly disgusted with these things, I really think they should be cut right on the money for the $$ that stangmods is charging for them...

You must have got a bad batch mine were excellent....i sanded down the letters that bumped out on the 3d brake light a little so it fit flush did you do that...?

It's not that it was bubbly or anything.. It was just small. There's a bright red "frame" around the whole piece of vinyl. The finish is good, but the fit SUCKS.. And then, like I said, the rear turn signal indicators were cut HUGE.. Like over 1/8" hanging off on both sides.. I couldn't get it flat to save my life, they REALLY need to be trimmed. WTF??

Cool, but it's kinda hard to tell how good the fit is from those pics, for two reasons.. The pics aren't real close-up (it would be SWEET if you could snap a few), and second, your car is red, so if the vinyl for the third brake light was cut a little short, it wouldn't show quite so bad (my car is black)..
But your's looks great in those pics..
