This is an age old question. It should be which is better for your driving style? If most of your driving is on the highway, then get 3.73s. If most of your driving is in the city, then 4.10s will perform better. In your case it's a matter of preference. Your car doesn't care.

From what I've been told...light to light...4:10s and 3:73s for longer. Id say 3:73s for lower hp and 4:10s for higher.

Ummm what does hp have to do with it? Gears do not make power, and there is no reason they cant handle the same amount of power. The 4.10 is just a taller gear so you spin up faster there by shaving some time off of your 1/4 mile. The downside is no or very littlepull in fifth with 4.10's but they seem to be a better match for the manuals, 3.73's may or may not have this problem in fifth idk but the 3.73's are a better match for the auto's. The diffrence in gear ratios working better with the 2 different tranny's is because of the gearing in the them(I dont remember the actual ratios's of each gear). I read a couple articles on the 5r55s posted in another thread(great read Hammeron) which taught me quite a bit about basics of the auto tranny. They took an auto tranny with 3.73's above 500hp w/o issue.

You can and people do put 4.10's in the auto's but I have heard of driveability issue's when doing so.

I have a V8 stick and I thought about 3:73s and then changed my mind to 4:10s and damm sure glad I did because I dont think I would have been as happy with 3:73 as I am with the 4:10s. Also, my car is a daily driver on highway; still love it!!!

Good luck!!!
