Mine no longer shakes. Just adjust the stops for the stock hood.

its a common issue on the S197s...

+1 to adjusting the stops... I have no shake in mine so far.. max speed 135 as of now.

Mine shakes at 115. Ive never been over 120 in my recent stang. My 96 I took it up to 130 and it never shook.

What do you guys mean by adjust the stops? lower them or what?

At 150mph the last thing you should be looking at is the hood. My eyes are focussed about 1/2 mile into the distance,things happen quickly at that kind of speed [8D]

Mine shakes way before 130. I've adjusted the stops several times several times, but to no success. I posted on this one other time and nobody seemed to be too concerned. At least no one has had a hood fly open or bend/break. Pins are a good idea though.

The hood shakes because there's too much air underneath it trying to bleed out, with no place to go.
