When I bought my 05 GT I was told that they would install the stripes down the hood, roof etc. I recieved an email from my salesman on 11/26 saying that HE ordered them. So ever since 11/26 I have been waiting for the stripes to come in so they could do the a-s-s load of warranty work on it also. Did I mention that every time I call that pile of shyt they never return my calls? "Call you back in about 20 min" they say. Then they never call back! So yesterday I call thos bastards up and ask "where are my stripes"? They tell me that Ford will not be selling them to the dealers for another month (March) so I have to wait till then.

What I really BS is that I had a feeling that Ford would do that so I wanted to order a car that would have already been here by now with the stripes. They said they would be able to get them for me if I bought that one.

Think I could make them put it in the body shop and paint the stripes on since they wont be in for another month? What could I do about theses lies the dealer has told me? I hope that **** hole burns to the ground!!!!![:@]

Im sure their gonna be installing vinyl stripes, shouldn't cost you more than $300 to have it done by a body shop

A lot of people have been saying that you can get the vinyl stripes off of ebay for the '05 GTs, and then have a body shop put them on for you. Not sure if they are the same ones Ford is selling.

Dealers are always like that. Once they get their commission they don't give a damn about you. Call the better business bureau, or call Ford and complain about the dealership.

They are paying for both the stripes and the labor.

I work for a Car dealership (beancounting dept) and I had trouble getting my stripes and I was on rush order.
Toke me over a month.
They can not keep up with the demand.
