Update.
I got my tuner to make a valet tune for me, it works beautifully. It gives the car these limitations
- 40mph
- 3500rpm
- Removes 12 degrees of spark
You'd have difficulty getting into trouble reversing out the garage with those limits LOL Now I gotta print a card up which I'll afix to the dash when it goes in warning that the car is in "valet" mode and NOT to attempt any diagnosis of strange symptoms. I can just imagine getting it back from the Stealership with a bill for a retune to fix the "poor performance" LMAO

Yeah I have a velt mode for my X-Cal2. Yeah the dealerships always take cars out for test drives. My buddy is a mechanic at the local dealership and one day they all took a s/c cobra to lunch.

Hi,
Which idler pulley is squeaking?
If you have the Whipple HO system then one of them is not stock.
The driver side pulley is replaced with a 100mm diameter one. It looks slightly larger than the stock one.

Er.....oops. Yes, it was the drivers side one actually. I didn't even look atthe new one, I held the tensioner back while my son swapped the pulleys over. I'll check it and swap bearings if they are different.
Why would they be different though anyway?

Not sure why they made that idler pulley larger...
Maybe it allows more range in the automatic tensioner?
Here's the page from the install guide. The HO kit is the bottom diagram. (3.375" pulley on SC)

That would explain why the tuner suggested it might be as a result of the blower install. I didn't realise that they swapped it out and merely told him not to worry. D'oh !!!

There's also a chart in the back of the install manual that shows the pulley, belt, and idler size combinations.
Did your installer give you the install manual? Whipple doesn't have it online the last time I checked.
I scanned the entire manual into my computer just in case I destroyed the only copy I had...
If you want I could PDF it and email it to you. I think it would be way over te 400K limit of an attachment to this message board.
