yes, according to the manual... i believe it said between 30 and 60 lbs...mine has only done it once, i had a psychology book a binder and a case of beer... the only time i WANT the airbag to go off!!!

It must be a range of weight then, because when I put my laptop bag int he passenger seat when coming home from work, I do not get yelled at and the passenger side airbag light doesnt come on.
Yup, it's a range (not the same as a mountain range). It's amazing what the car knows, kind of like KIT from Knight Rider, except much better looking.[X(]

I sure wish they could make it figure out whether you put on aCAI or some other mod, and automatically adjust for it. Seems like a small step to go beyond all of the parameters that must be in there already.
