I personally dont like the steeda pins.I was looking into the twist down hood pins like on the GT500KR like the 68-70's. I dont think these are going to fit though. might be to short.

I thought that I saw the twist down hood pins on a S197. Maybe the 08 GT500KR? I had the hood pins and cable on my 67 coupe a long time ago and I just remember it being a PITA. But I really do like the twist down pins. fd
Yes sir, those are the pins I was talking about on the 08 GT500KR.

Thanks gentlemen for the input. Yes I will put functional pins on. When I am on the interstate or pass a semi it scares the heck out of me.I have a 70 Mach1 with twist downhood pins and they are to short for the hood on the 05, but I would perfer the twist down ones also.[:@]

I am thinking of putting Steeda slide style hood pins on my car for safety. I have the steeda cowl induction hood. Need you guys thoughts.Would it look good.
Mine came with my hood I bought used, not sure if these are the pins you're talking about.
But they work great, and risk not scratching or rubbing on the paint, or someone steeling your pins.

Them pins are too close together for my liking but WTH its yours.

Blah, I had no choice as I bought the hood used with the slide pins already installed.
But I do like how they line up with the fogs. Anywhere else it just wouldnt be uniform with anything.
Plus makes for a very easy pin install.

Mine are farther apart, but I think it depends on which hood they're on.

You need to cut out those honeycombs for better cooling.
And maybe flat black the shiny aluminum behind the grill.
It really shows up as bad in these pics.[:@]
