Will these speakers sound any better with the Shaker 500? As ugly as the head unit is, it does not sound all that bad in stock setup. What i am really asking is that does the sound quality really get that much better by just changing the speakers? Thanks. And how much to chage all speakers?

tons......the stock setup is **** compared to aftermarket replacements...speakers help a little but changing out the shaker HU itself is a huge improvement.

Do you have to get amps or the shaker 500 have amps already. Im not really familiar with this cars setup. Would appreciate some quick education/help on it. Might have just gotten interested in a new mod

this is what I want to know how it is setup.
I think the Shaker HU had amps that drive the speakers but there is a seperate external amp from the HU that drives the subs.
I would like to swap my unit for a Double Din Nav systems with goodipod controls and i am worried about the amp situation, I dont want to have to put in a seperate amp right away.
Anyone have any clues on how the stock shaker is setup?
It is 500 watt, how is that distributed?
Thanks.

first off the 500 watt is a marketing plow.....the back of the 6x8/5x7 all say 25 watts. They are driven byt he internal amp and the 2 shaker subs have their own amps. You just need to hook a remote wire like any other amp to the shaker amp input and that is it.

Where are the subs on a Shaker 500? I know 1000 has a box in the trunk but I did not know I had subs. Is there a write up anywhere on a stereo install on the 500?
