Default I changed my MACS for Corsas.

I replaced my Macs because they droned BADLY, so bad it drove me nuts
So my options were the Corsa axle-back or the Pypes mid-muffler system.
I decided to go with the Corsa because I read how everyone loves them.
Well I have to tell you that I am not really satisfied, they sound ok but are way to tame.
They sound a little tinny, which I expected, if there is no drone then they must not have a very deep tone to them.
This is just the law of physics for tone…no drone, no groan.

Sowhat do I do now?
I would like them a tad louder and a tad deeper with NO drone.
Will a catted H or X pipe do the trick?
If so which one?
I don’t think I want to go O/R, I want to keep my cats, but I figured if I go with high flow cats and some kind of X/H pipe, I can change the sound.
Anyone with suggestions?
Thanks A Bunch.

Could have just had resonators installed.

What would the FRPP X pipe do for me?

What about resonators, I guess I am not sure what those are?
Thanks Fellas

I've heard corsa's with an X pipe and it sounded pretty good.

I will say this, I was almost in your boat about the sound of the corsa's. Give them 500 miles to burn in, they do get better but even more than that, have a buddy drive your car while you stand on the sidewalk. Have them drive by at various speeds at various rpm's and then accelerating and decelerating. It is a COMPLETELY different sound outside the car. The Corsa's are really tame inside but are bada$$ outside it. After hearing it from the outside, I was OK with them from then on.

LOL hmm that is interesting.
I like the sound at WOT thought just a bit tame, all other speeds they are way to tame.
Maybe is it because I have the MACs for a little bit.
At firstI thought the MACs were too loud, then I got used to them, but the droneI just couldn't over.
It sucks because I loved the sound of the MACs, loud and deep.
I want to keep the Corsa'sI just want them a tad louder inside the car as well as outside. [sm=gears.gif]

Yea, the corsa's aren't going to be as loud as Mac's but if you add highflow cats with an X, it might get a little more volume that you're looking for. That's one thing I really liked about the corsa's, the ability to cruise and still be able to talk to passengers and not be annoyed by the exhaust.

Definitely still listen to it outside the car (especially a higher rpm acceleration run away) ... it's just unbelievable.

Could have just had resonators installed.

that would be counterproductive. it would make it sound much tamer.

as for making the corsa's sound more aggressive, you want a hi-flow catted x pipe.

i consider myself the exhaust guru. i've done such a ridiculous amount of research, and heard 90% of the combos in person. if anyone has an exhaust question, ask me.

can i have that as a title? Official MF exhaust guru?
