RE: pic of my car
I suppose you are correct. I have taken things from previous cars that I likedbut obviously I left out badges and emblems. in my opinion if you like something on your car then put it on anddo not be concerned about what others are going to say about it. we are all modifing our cars to be the way we want them to be.

i sort of agree on that. there's a difference between tribute and clone and then there's the gray area in between where people like to push the envelope.
to me, throwing on badges, insignia's, lettering, etc designates "clone" in my eyes. people go "well i am doing this car as a tribute to the GT350" but a true clone would be a restoration with updated innards. take a 350GT frame and then install all new stuff in it that would have come in said model. a true 350GT would be all original parts (well maybe a few new ones) but very close and it has to match vin, etc.
a tribute would be everything added but without the said insignia's and badges. like the eleanor tributes. has the same styling but people aren't throwing shelby badges or saying GT500 on the sides. in my eyes, that is cool.
it only gets bad when you build your car up to what it's not. you feel good until someone goes "is that a blah blah blah" and unless you're a loser you'll say "no, i just made it look like that". not a good feeling when the dude walks away shaking his head and laughing.
