Default Need Help with Supercharger choice

It woud have to be from Steeda in Pompano, FL because they are the only reputable shop I know within 50 miles of home. They have 3:

Steeda/Magnuson ($5195)
Paxton Novi 1200 ($3799)
Vortech S-Trim ($3899)

Install is $1760 for all three. They are on their site http://www.steeda.com/products/s197_parts_fuel.php

The person I spoke to on the phone recommended the Steeda/Magnuson - he said you get what you pay for - and they give you a 3yr/30K warranty (said they don't give this with the others). I guess they do more installs of these so that is a factor...

Any advice? Comments? (I know there are others out there but I need to pick between these 3)

Thanks for any feedback.

Kenne Bell, Whipple and Saleen are probably the best!

Sorry!

Just my opinion.

Lot's of folks have Paxton and Vortech though. Haven't heard of anyone with the Steeda.

KB...and /or Pro Charger..

I wouldnt put anything else on my car..

But that is also My opinion..Do your own research..do whats best for you application and Budget

I like the Pro charger becuase they just came out with a unit that doesnt require any stock parts to be moved w/ a intercooler..made 466HP at the wheels on a stock car..

Thanks for the replies so far - hammeron - I would absolutely never consider installing myself - I am seriously underskilled in any area related to cars (even with TacoBills guides for "dummies") so this is definitely a job for a pro shop.

Steeda said they would also dyno tune it (of course).

Also, I would not go over 420hp (at the crank) with it. This is my daily driver and I want to keep it for a long time.

Thanks again for any feedback on the 3 choices from Steeda.

I think a FRPP/Whipple would be a better choice now that FRPP backs the powertrain warranty(12mo/12000miles). The Magnuson/Steeda unit is a modified Roots blower(still makes too much heat and is inefficient at higher revs vs. a Twin-Screw design). The FRPP/Whipple 400hp unit comes in at under $5K, you can get the 500hp version(for manual cars only) for $6K(but FRPP doesn't offer the powertrain warranty). Properly tuned, a manual GT can post 400+rwhp with the 400hp Whipple unit. Just food for thought........................
