ok so ill tell him to pass on techron. what brand octane booster? also what brand fuel do u guys reccomend? (always wanted to ask that)

thanks for all the replies guys. we will probably just take a cruise until 0 miles to empty, then fill it with chevron 93 octane
then we can install and he can have his fun.

everything I've read says octane boost doesn't raise the octane enough, maybe fractions of a point, so just burn the regular and pump in the 93...

hey guys we got my buddys intake and tune done today. he was very happy and thanks for all of your posts. however i did notice that the air filter was touching the hood slightly. i checked on my car and it is too. this is normal right? thanks

The few times I have had to switch from 87 to 93 I do the following:
Run down to "0"
Drive to work (15 mi)
At lunch, put 1 gallon of 93 in the tank.
Drive home (15 mi)
Fill up with 93 and tune.
Mine doesnt, then again I have the v6 version.
