Default RE: question on my buddys CAI

it is normal......some genius here used a tie wrap
to hold it down slightly and the rubbing went away.

if you do nothing, a slight black spot will develope on
the air filter.....not a big deal....

ORIGINAL: yukmouth

so is it normal to have the jlt2 air filter slightly touch the hood when its closed?

Run it down and then fill it up with Sunoco Ultra 94 (Actually 95).

Alternative: If the local Sunoco has GT100just go aheadand put 5 gal of GT100 in and then fill up with Ultra.

After that you can run 93 octane or Ultra if your bucks up.

PS: I know you are already done. Just though it might help someone later.
