Measure twice, drill once. That's the only nerve wrecking portion.
I thought it was wipe twice, flush once?

take the hood off,two people 10 min most.don't have to worry about shavings.did mine in about an hour.mark on the under side of hood and the hinge with marker and line it up putting it back on.
Or dont remove the hood and forgo to realignment problems.

By the way, I ordered from www.blueovalindustries.com and couldn't be happier. I also ordered a new "eleanor" grille at the same time. They had one listed on eBay for less than what it was shown on the website....just gave them the eBay item# and they matched it. Also, the price on the scoop was the lowest I could find.

Shipping was next day since I'm somewhat close to them. Would HIGHLY recommend them. [sm=signs007.gif]

I am in the process of designing a kit to make the Roush and Ford Factory hood Scoops functional...
once I am finished with the prototype would you be interested in taking a look at it. It will require you
to cut a hole in the hood under the scoop. if so PM me and I will add you to the list

Got my scoop. Not impressed with the paint job.
eMailed the eBay seller.
Hello, I received the hood scoop. The foam it was wrapped it has transferred
A pattern onto the semi-uncured paint and There are a few dimples in the paint. Alsos
there are about 7 light scratches on the surface spaced about 2 inches apart from
each other running from side to side. I also noticed that the intake is not painted inside
or on the bottom or on the bottom of the lip. Like it was just placed on a flat surface and
Sprayed. The paint ends and unpainted scoop Can bee seen around the edges.
Unpainted surfaces can be seen on the underside of the intake portion also before the front
plastic block-off panel. Could the scoop not be supported on a box or something so the edges
were hanging off so paint could be fully applied to all visable surfaces including the inside
of the intake portion? A view from the side reveals unpainted surfaces inside the scoop area.
Not the quality of paint job expected.

How was your scoop painted? 100% or only the top?

157,
Well that sucks big....not acceptable....Mine was painted 100%, and beautifully, I might add. But, it did come from Roush direct via THR.....
I'm sure you won't settle for it.....nor should you.....

You really cant see the imperfections from 4 feet away and
the lighting has to be just right but this not completely
covered with paint is killing me. It does not have the same
quality unblemished finish as the OEM painted spoiler I
purchased. I cant seem to get the seller (premierpaintbody)
to return any of my eMails. $227.05 total for the scoop and
to get it painted from them. Feedback was good but I guess
you get what you pay for........

Looks like THR or TexasHotRod has them on eBay as
well for $294.12 painted. I took the cheapest seller and
got burned.[:@]
Do I go ahead and install or get it stripped and repainted?
Can you paint base color coat over clearcoat?

I can't wait to get one of these scoops for my new Mustang. It definitely adds more style to car.

I'd also like to pick up a set of the side louvers too.
