SO when I took off the stock pipes, there is a guiding rivet on the mid pipe, the slp LM that i have do not have a notch for the guide rivet, does anyone know what to do, short of cutting the LM pipe?

I think I just put the SLP pipe on against the rivet, I didn't cut anything and it fit just fine.

Thanks to all who responded, my roommate and I dremeled one to fit and the other slipped on enough with out worries... haha, I started it up, hit the gas right away, that backfire popped, being in my apartment carport didnt help any either, know i woke some people up (its past midnight here).

Does it backfire a lot, or just when its cold?

mine quit backfiring after i added cai and tune.. i run no mufflers.. pretty much same as runnin loud mouths..

Ya, cai and tune is next, I had too many jager bombs sat night and ordered a ps3 on amazon.... so that will set me back a few checks of extra money before i get the cai/tune. I dont even play video games much anymore.... oh well.

Forgive me for sounding dumb, but what is CAI and where would I buy the best tune? I am getting the loudmouths here in a week.

Hey, CAI is a cold air intake, it replaces the stock air box/filter. I do no have a tune, but from what I have read, Brenspeed.com has some of the best tunes available. I have heard particularly good things about the Steeda and C&L intake. The loudmouths are great, I giggle like a little girl everytime I step on the gas....
