Not to be an A$$ but.The problem is because you have a 3" exhaust on your car and you don't need it even with the SC. Now if you were running a turbo I would say man that sucks.
The problem is not the 3" pipe.... It's crappy bending from the aftermarket supplier.

Glad noone was hurt!
I agree with you, apples to apples 1/2" increse in diameter should translate into 1/4" reduction in clearance to each sideif it was in the same position, poor design can certainly be the problem, however before pointing the finger to anyone I want to make sure it was not my fault (installation) to begin with.

Thanks jrm1900 for the heads up. Many of us V6ers have installed duals, so I think it would be a good idea to check on the clearance.

Thanks for the update JRM. I was under my car this afternoon (that stock driveshaft has got to go!) and I was scratching my head looking around trying to figure out how that could have happened. But what you say makes perfect sense. Good luck.
