Change it myself every 5000 miles (synthetic). First oil change was at 1500 miles, and every 5k after that!!

I change the oil and filter every 5000 miles or 3 months, which ever comes first, with Motorcraft synthetic blend 5w20 and a Motorcraft FL820S filter.

Around here the dealer is like $34 to do the change and by the time I buy the stuff and do the work its a better value to let them do it for me.

change it yourself so you know's it done correctly and by someone who actually gives a crap (namely you)...keep your receipts just in case there's ever an issue. p.s. I'm doing mobil one 5w20 and mobil one filter every 3 mos/3K, and I'll duck out now because here come the "that's wasteful" posts lol...

I'm at 9k miles and am planning on getting my 3rd one before I hit 10... and that's a on a synthetic mobil 1 extended perf. with a mobil 1 filter. after 10k miles ill probably do it every 4-5k.

ok my first one was at 3500..im planinng on doing mine at around 8000 now..does that seem right..
