Though there are scientific tests and evaluations that prove the earth is round and not flat, we all believe it is false because it is the accepted truth of the public. This blasphemer trying to convince people that it is round is insane and should be put to death.

Stop being ridiculous and maybe try accepting that testing might just prove that the facts you've held dear, facts you believe in JUST BECAUSE you were told so (like you've done oil testing to prove its strength and the exact wear it's putting on your engine) and enjoy some new information.

Police Cars last 250,000 miles on 15,000 mi changes of Mobil 1 including pursuit work and 50%+ Idle Time. They also last just as long on 5000 mi changes of Motorcraft 5W-20.

Nothing wrong with 3000 mi oil changes of Mobil 1 5W-30 if it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. Just dont believe that the car is really likely to last any longer than it would with 5000 mi changes of Motorcraft 5W-20 or 10000 mi changes of Amsoil ASL 5W-30.

If you routinely see repeated short trips of less than 5 mi withfew longer trips to cook out the moisture you may be a canidate for 3000 mi changes.

If you routinely see oil temps approaching 300F during long track events you may be a canidate for synthetic and short change intervals.
