You can pick up a mirror on ebay, as long as your mirror motor still works and the mirror itself is ok, just buy the mirror housing its very simple to change out the motor and harness. Theres several complete mirrors on ebay here's one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...QQcmdZViewItemwatch it and maybe you can get it real cheap.
On the inside of the door, the plastic piece behind the mirror justpullsstraight out to remove it (piece where the mirror adjustment control is), only 3 nuts holding mirror on. Very simple to swap these out, no need to pay labor for this replacement.

I feel your pain man except for my mirror was ripped off by hands when i was in eating in a restraunt at about 1:00 pm. I was so pissed. But ya for the mirror you have too options you could order the part and its about 75 bucks cheaper before install and you could install it yourself or you could take it to the dealer and the mirror will have a warranty because fords all about there genuine parts and service. Wow, that sucks. Seems like I read about this stuff weekly here, and it always pisses me off. I guess I'mlucky (or unlucky, depending on your perspective.) I'm married with kids, and my car is hardly ever anywhere but in my driveway or garage after the sun goes down.

If I knew the person that did that to my car, they would be crappin their pants and eating with a straw for the rest of their life. F#*k with my car, I F#*k with your life! I have always fantasized about swinging for the fences with a Louisville Slugger on some @$$holes head!
