One thing I experienced the other day when I was getting a fillup and the pump shut off too soon. Not like the TSB problem, which usually starts right after I set the pump, but I guess it happened towards the end. I thought it seemed like a little short, timewise, but I wasn't fully empty. So I drove off and noticed I was about 1/8 down from full.
But I still think if you're getting 16.11 gallons in there it's probably being overfilled...

Ok, everything seems to be acurate except for 1 problem. When you go to highways with a lot of turns (if you take them right) you will notice that the needle of the fuel gauge will move from half a tank to empty tank (the gauge will actually turn red) and instantly you'll get a message "0 miles left to empty". After than happens and lets say needle gets back to 3/8 of a tank, it tells you that you have 10-20 miles left to empty even though you know that you got about 55-60 left to go. Sometimes I have 1/8 of a tank left and it tells meI got 50 miles left to go and I know in reality its only30 or so. That's once again after doing a little bit of highway driving, usually the next day or something. That's the problem I noticed long time ago, something that I never had with my 3kgt, MR2, or an Accord, at the time of highway driving fuel gauge gives you a false reading and therefore estimate of how many miles are left to empty is inaccurate as well.

Yep, my needle doesn't do that either.
I fill my tank until the first click and I don't top it off. No need to.
She definately carries a hair more than 16 gallons.
We'll see what miles to empty says at the next fillup.
MPG is great even with my 93 tune.

I always fill the tamk and calculate my MPG rather than rely on the computer. I think the computer is overly generous.

I just got my car back after having this same problem. I took the car in three different times, finallythey were able to duplicate the problem. They told me it was the fuel level sending unit, theyreplaced it and hasn't happened since.

ive also run the car a few miles past 0 but only cus of no gas stations around people who do that for an experiment are just hurting the stang also i have problem as when i take corners fast but not fast enough to start drifting or if i do a burnout around a corner my gauges read that i have 0 left till empty even with a full tank and will say that for about 10 to 15 minutes then it slowly goes back up until it says again that i have a full tank of gas
