Default Help finding Houston shop to install 4.10's

I've been asking around but I wanted to try again and ask those of you in the Houston area what’s the most reliable shop in town to install some 4.10 gears?

I don't want to install them and then get gear whine................. I'd like them to be right the first time without whine or oil leak.

Thanks for your help

I haven't used them but I heard Dyno Joe & PSI were good shops. I need to get gears and some LT's installed. I have talked to the guy at PSI I believe his name is Patrick. He was super nice and seemed to know his stuff. Good luck and post your results.

You've posted this request before...did you ever check out fastlane?

They are on 1960 between 290 and 249.

I did check them out and did not get a warm fuzzy feeling after talking to them. I have posted this request prior and I'm not getting much feedback or rave reviews for anyone in the Houston area thats why I tried again.

I used these guys because they were Roush dealers and had them do it with my pully upgrade. They had trouble with the Motives (the usual whine), but tried several times to fix it and finally put in an FRPP for no extra charge and the whine went away. All three guys names are Mike, so just ask for Mike.

Houston Performance did my install. They did a pretty good job at a good price. It was $450 I think for parts and labor.

Patrick at PSI did mine last September, and did a great job at that. I brought my own gears with me because I was able to score the "non-Motive" FRPP 4.10's off of eBay. If I recall correctly, I believe the total labor cost was about $250 including tax. He has his own '06 GT auto with 4.10's if you want to take a ride in it before making a decision.

Strictly performance did mine along with LT's, h-pipe, CMDP, C&L CAI, Custom dyno and pro 5.0 shifter and I haven't had any problems. I've also used G-force in Pearland for work (suspension, UDP's, nitrous window switch, and gauges). Both shops are great and do quality work (ones just a little easier to get to for me).
