I have problems with my CD's skipping and the dealer is replacing it Monday. They said if it skips after that I need to change the CD's i'm using to burn with. My buddie's GT skips with store baught CD's. I don't play enough store baught CD's to know the difference. Anybody have this problem yet? Any fixes?

I have had problems with burned CDs but not store bought. the thing I noticed is it looks like it scratches the heck out of them somehow. For whatever reason it seems to only happen to the burned ones. No ideas yet.

Mine skips too and I have one on order been waiting over a month. Oh well it doesn't skip all the time and when it does it usually replays the part that skips, go figure. anyway I know a friend who has a c.d. player in his 2004 and it skipped and he ordered a new one and now everything is squared away. Don't let that dealer bull**** you. C.D. players are proned to that at times.

for what it's worth (i don't have mine yet) you can try dumping all the mp3's directly under the root directory (ie, no subdirectories), close the session after you finish burning, try different media - all in that order. hope that does something cause 1) i'd love to be the guy that suggested the fix for this, 2) i'm nervous it's going to happen to me too.

Mine skips and ejects.

Does not matter if I am playing a store bought or burned cd. I can listen to track 1-3, go to track 5 and it will eject it saying Bad CD, or jump to the next cd. I have not used the mp3. I have a new system on order.

I have a shaker 1000 and every CD that I have in it has skipped at least one time. Mine are store bought CDs.

How did you prove to the dealer that it needed to be replaced since it doesnt skip all the time?

a few people at the NVMC meeting had 05 GTs. they were talking to each other about that too. 3 of the 4 there had cd players that skipped.

I have the same problem as Silver Shadow05. It doesn't matter if it's recorded or store bought. It will skip or reads bad disc and will eject it. Glad to see others are having this problem as it makes for good ammunition and credibility at the dealership.
