I agree with what you guys have been saying here.....my car too, has a different contrast between the rear bumper and the rest of the car........like said.....a "yellowish" tint.......but honestly when i stand back and look at the car, the white looks outstanding. I suppose all colors have some sort of downfall.......it isn't great enough a worry to me to change to a different color.

currently in the shop getting *cervinized*................[&:]

Sorry I didn't answer your email, I wasn't sure if someone was trying to spam or what since it came straight to my email instead of a PM.

I haven't noticed any color differences between the plastic and metal. If I were to spot any defect on the paint the dealer would catch hell until the problem was resolved. The sqeaky wheel gets the grease, or in your case paint.

Is this because the paint is "mettallic"? Most paints that are will look different depending on the sun or whatever light is there.

Another white GT with a yellowish rear bumper - the front fascia has not done it so far.

I too did not reply to e-mail, sorry. I have noticed a slight difference in color of my rear bumber, I just thought it was because of the plastic vs. metal. I'd also be curious what Ford has to say about this, either the dealership or Ford themself.

As I stated in my email response, I haven't notice any disearning color tint yellow or otherwise. However, I did replace my rear bumper cover due to a slight accident. The take-off bumper I installedhas a slight color difference but not that bad. I was told that paint matching by body shopsare sometimesdone by using the VIN number of the vehicle. Ford keeps the paint blend mix numbers so the body shop can mix and hopefully match any repair or repainting exactly. I also know they also use some sort of spectro device that also gives them a mix match number for paint blending. I had a spoiler painted by the body shop using my VIN number to match the color, and all I can say, Perfect!! So I guess he was telling me the truth about using the VIN number to match the paint, as the rear valance I installed was not a perfect match (from a different car, different VIN).

I had the same issue on my Oxford White '01 GT 'vert... but I noticed it mainly on the side scoops. I got used to it, I guess.
