Default Is this a good price for a S281 SC?

Today I went tothe dealership because like I mentioned in my other post I'm looking for more power. I went to check out Roush 427R, but ended up having them offer me a Saleen S281 supercharged. The price on the car said 58k. I don't know if the manager was bs'ing me when he told me that they need to get rid of it asap and just because of that he'll give it to me for 42k with a monthly payment of 816, with 2000 down and with my GT as a trade in. The S281 was 2007 so I don't see why they'd want to get rid of it with 15k off. Is that how much all Saleens go for or is the guy actually being honest with me? If he was, has anybody found one cheaper because I really want to buy one but am not sure about how much they really do run for?

for that kind of monthly payment you might want to buy a house which is an investment unlike a mustang.

I couldn't even fathom having that kind of car payment, but that does seem like a reasonable price on a Saleen.

Answer these 3 ???.

1. Is this an investment / toy or a car driven daily
2. Do you have the disposable income to have something like this
3. Do you think Saleens and Roush's will appreciate in value like a Shelby will.

It is a good price this is the best time of the year to buy a new car. the fact that's its on 07 don't really matter they have probably had it since late 06 early 07. After 90 days the dealer has to pay out of pocket to keep that car on there lot and when january comes and they still have it.... well good luck for them tryin to sell it for what they can now.... if its something youl be happy with jump on it....just do some research on your GT make sure you get top dollar for it.... o yea and 800 bucks won't even get you a two bed room apartment in the san fransico bay area! Haha

Investment [sm=smiley36.gif].... And as for appreciation in value like a Shelby. They may hold their value better, but I don't see them going up in price. The cars are over priced now because they can get away with it, but that 's all going to end very soon.
