RE: What was your time the first time you went to the dragstrip in your mustang?
First passwith this car (April 2007) is still my best pass of the year:
14.701 @ 95.7mph with a 60' of 2.18x
At the time, I had:
4.0L/5spd.
CAI & 93 tune
4.10's & T-Lock
PH Driveshaft
Evolution Billet LCA's
BMR UCA
Single GT take-off muffler
Spare & jack removed
Stock Pirellis (spin city)
Once I install the torque limiters, I plan to return to CCD. I'm anxious to try a few fixes out to improve my times.

This slip was my best first day run and all I had for mods was the GMS CAI but no tune. I improved that to 13.4 before my present mod setup. With all the mods listed in my sig my best time was 13.1

Vista Blue:
dude, something is wrong...4.10s and drag radials should give youclose to high twelveswithout any other mods...your 19s are only making your final drive taller...maybe you should get some 17" takeoffs for the track?

The 19's sre stock height so there shouldn't be any difference there. I do have my original 17's and will have MT's put on in a few weeks. I was proud of myself, there were 3 other S197's at the track last week, I was running anywhere from 13.9 to 14.1, none of the other broke 14.4. They all had 20's though so maybe my 19's are hurting me more than I thought.

OK, I feel a little better My first time at 48 was this year. I do have the body kit and 19" First run 14.0x at 102.x LOL.....second run I got agressive, lit em up, banged the limiter and ran 14.6x [&:] Third run again got tentative and got the same numbers as the first run.Dang it.....launching at the strip with the crowds and all the experienced drivers around is intimitdating. I have got to settle down and feather the clutch [8D]

I ran 13.53 @ 105.80 with a 2.20 60' last weekend at Lapeer Dragway. I figure I can get down to 13.3 or betterwith some good tires and cool air. Lapeer is a dump......can't wait to try Milan later in the season.

My first time to the track I did a 8.6 on the 8th mile. I have a C&L CAI and Brenspeed 93 octane tune, UDP and Bassani exhaust.

going to depend a lot on your driving ability at the track. a lot different than on the street. we have 2 gts, both auto and first time at the track with mine was a 13.90 and my husbands ran a 13.90 as well, but he already had 4.10s. he had a better 60' time but mine pulled better on the top end because I was able to run the 1/4 topping out in 3rd. whereas he was hitting 4th and then it just fell on its face. I have seen a lot of stangs that came to the track there first time out and ran 14s and 15s, but were very much capable of running high 12s. just takes practice launching mainly and once your off the line just drive it like you stole it. so if you dont do as good as you think it should don't be dissapointed just practice getting your car down and times will improve. a lot depends on track conditions as well. good luck
