I bought my GT this week and have been reading searches all week. This seems to be where I am headed.

Now to my hang up. I want a nice sounding exaust, but at this point I only want to spend money on HP upgrades. From my reading it seems as though the exaust is basically 3 parts: headers, mid pipe, and axle back. I can't go for off road all the time because of emission check. For the moment I was thinking of going stock headers, Bassani Modular X-pipe(because of HP gains in off road), and stock axle back. So now for my questions.
1 Will it sound better than stock?
2 How bad is the X-pipe sound or vibration?
3 Can I make my three tunes from Brenspeed be for off road, cats, and what ever else? (still don't really understand the tunes thing)
4 Later can I just bolt up headers for more HP?

x-pipes sound less muscley, more raspy riceyimo. you would likely need a tune for a full exhaust job. axleback might not give you any gains, unless you went muffler-less which would help ever so slightly, but it sure as hell will make your car sound faster!
