RE: need helping cleaning my trunk carpet
Get the offending pieces out of the car to prevent further seepage. Consider replacing it, that is probably the easiest solution and probably not much more expensive than buying alot of solvents to try and clean it.

You must replace it, all the time & effort to get it cleaned(if ever) will cost as much as a replacement mat. Go to a carpet outlet and try to match the factory flannel crappy mat & use your original as a template to trim the piece you've purchased to fit. JMHO

I did worse
Was taking a pan of used oil to the gas station to recycle, forgot it was there all spilled
I pulled all the trim and washed everything down, lots of oil got in weird places, so check around.
My trunk still smells sorta greasy, i'd recomend replacing the trim here are the part numbers, I had these scribbled down on a napkin so double check before ordering.

+1 replace, the stain will probably never come out and the smell won't go away either, it will permeate the interior not just the trunk. I had a plastic bag of Chinese to go food in my trunk, it fell over and some of the sauce leaked in the bag, luckily it did not get on the carpet, about half way home while driving it began to smell like the restaurant in the car. I had to leave the trunk and windows open for a few hours just to get the odor out and it wasn't even in the carpet.

I would soak it w/ pure Dawn detergent for awhile, which will displace all of the oil (hey...that's what they used to clean up the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska). Then rinse thoroughly!!
