Low riding Passenger seat
I was just wondering if anyone had noticed that the passenger seat rides lower than the driver seat, maybe its because Ive got the driver seat servoed up. I keep my seat all the way up in front and all the way down in back, and the passenger seat still seems lower, Ive had people comment that its like sitting in a tub, has anyone noticed this and done any modifications to raise the seat??

RE: Low riding Passenger seat
Yes, I have noticed that the passenger seat rides too low. We rented a 2005 Mustang convertible with a V-6 for one week while on vacation. Loved everything about the Mustang, except the low riding, not adjustable up and down passenger seat. I agree with Aquaman2005. Please, if anyone has done any modifications to raise the passenger seat, let us know.
I also drove a 2004 Mach 1 Mustang with a shaker hood. I would have bought it if I knew I could get the passenger seat modified to ride higher.

RE: Low riding Passenger seat
I care.... I am **** about how my car looks.. and I want the seats EVEN... since I have the drivers seat "lifted", I want to be able to make the passenger seat height the same. That way the steat tops line up when you view the car from the rear.
The workaround for now is I have the Passenger Seat Headrest extended so that at least the headrest tops line up.

I looked in the yellow pages under "Automobile Customizing" and found a guy who would raise the low riding passenger seat. He charges $65 an hour and guess-ti-mated he could accomplish the task of a few hunderd dollars. Of course, it depends on how the passenger seat is attached to the floor now and how complicated the job is.

RE: Low riding Passenger seat
If you want your seat raised you should have it done by a Ford service center. If the seat is improperly adjusted or lifted, it will affect the safety of the car and your passengers. At least if Ford does it (if they can/will) the liability is with them. Not you.
