My nine year old weighs 70 lbs & he is right on the edge of turning it on & off depending on how he sits. I thought 70 lbs was the designed weight but I may be wrong. I think mine is right, ask your dealer to re-zero the sensor & see if it changes. There is a specific procedure for zeroing the seat.

Thanks, everyone. I hate to say it but I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Misery loves company??

Mine lights when i put a gallon of milk on the seat! It lights when my daughter goes for a ride with me around the development. But when my wife sits in it, it stays off! Maybe she should go on a diet! lol Just joking. I think it has to do with the weight and where the weight is positioned on the seat!

my G/F sets it off from time to time. She fluxuates between 120 and 130lbs. Actually, we've found that the light will come on when I accelerate harder than normal and turn back off when I slow down. I guess the weight reduction due to a butthole puckering is enough to set it off.

just take out your pass airbag, They don't need it. It cost money to repair that. Take it out, sell it on ebay, and with the 20 bucks go buy some decals to gain 20hp.

Have your passengers either eat more or go on a diet so the sensor is not confused!
yeah I'm gonna start a chubby-chicks only policy for my mustang...I like that slap-slap-slap sound I get out of them lol...

It's a safety thing. Airbag hits hard so they want to have it off when you have passenger under i believe 90 lbs to prevent injury.
