Dome light? and warning light question.

I just got my 2007 Mustang and it's a theft recovery. The radio and rear view mirror are gone and going to be replaced but I noticed something weird.
Where the heck is the dome light? Or where is the light supposed to come from when you open the door. It's completely dark in there at night and it's frustrating. My best guess is that it was on the rear view mirror but I'm just wanting to confirm that if possible.
Also I have driver and passenger reading lights I can turn on and one is red and the other is blue. Is that factory or did someone change that?
And should there be floor lights under the dash by my feet?
Since I have no owners manual I don't know much about the specifics of the car. I have a warning light on in the dash that is an exclamation point with a half circle below it. Anyone know what that one is?

Thanks in advance.

RE: Dome light? and warning light question.

The only lights that came in my 07 are the reading/map lights. There is no dome light, the map lights come on when you open the door. Also, there are no footwell lights but I believe they are an option in the 08.

OK that makes sense. Hmmm. My reading lights work when I push the buttons but don't turn on when the door opens. Anyone have any ideas on why that might be then?

+1 to the above.....they were not colored either.....you must have got a car owned by a pimp or something

RE: Dome light? and warning light question.

I redid mine, and if I remember correctly, there is separate wiring for the lights depending on whether the door is opened or you manually turn the map lights on. I think there were three wires up there, one is constant power, one is constant ground, and the other is a floating ground. The floating ground is controlled by the BCM or something to turn on the lights when the doors are opened. I think it was a green/yellow tracer wire but I'm not sure. I can look in my repair manual if you'd like.

I think that means either your parking brake is on or your brake fluid level is low.
