Question concerning elect. fan setpoints & custom tune.
After I had my CAI and custom tune installed, I noticed that the electric cooling fan would run continueously on high speed once the motor got up to temp, even while going down the highway. The temp stays just below halfway.
I tried bumping up the setpoints a couple degrees, but that didn't help. My question is what is the setpoint "supposed" to be and what would be the max. I could set them to prevent the fan running non-stop? When I return everything to stock, the fans run properly, but I don't know what those settings are.

Interesting. I didn't realise that these were traditionally addressed in a tune. Mine don't come on unless I'm in traffic for some time.
Will be interested to see what the answer here is.....

RE: Question concerning elect. fan setpoints & custom tune.
I asked them about it, but they said they don't touch those settings, they are whatever they are in the base tune that they start out with. I believe they were at 198/208. This is using the SCT Xcal 2 tuner. I wonder if I raise it a bit, it will start regulating, maybe preset too low? I just don't want to run too hot.
