RE: Mustang Cologne?!
Lol. I work at CAR and DRIVER and when we got thefinal issue of the September magazine (4 days ago) we were all laughing about that ad, well, more like everyone was laughing at me since I just bought a Mustang.

Folks, I actually saw this cologne at a Seattle JC Penny's or Macy's can't remember which one was it...it smelled horrible...[:'(] Can't describe the smell, but is not something I want to smell like. I know I should have taken a pics of the bottle to show here...maybe next time I go there....

WEARING THIS COLOGNE NETS YOU A 5 RWHP GAIN
its dyno proven... dont ask me where, just know that it is
it smells... ok, for 25 and a container the cologne really isnt that bad... ill wear it on days i forgot to wear deoderant or somthing, but untill then im stickin with the polo sport

I said:
I bought the Mustang cologne at Sears. It isn't offensive, just a little too red-woody for my taste. Nice collector's package, very dark metallic gray tin can it comes in.
I see there is a "contest" for a racing weekend in Miami:

I also see there is a "bonus" of six additional daily entries for anyone who finds the bar code on the back of a Mustang cologne package.
One more "also": if you go to Sears, you'll be frustrated by the visible bar code on the can. Those numbers won't open the bonus treasure box of six additional entries. Sears has pasted their own bar code over the one from the factory - the one that works. No biggie, but it was news to the people running the "contest".
To use the Sears-viewed or -purchased product, you have to look under the pasted-on label. Not fondly looked-on by sears, I'd guess - unless you purchase the product.
I don't believe it would be fair to the merchandisers to post the good bar code numbers here, but I'd hate to see anyone going to Sears and being frustrated when attempting to get those crucial six bonus entries.
There are other retailers who carry the product (Target, Wal-Mart, CVS, Brooks & Eckard, in my area). I don't know if they stick on labels.

RE: Mustang Cologne?!
I'm sure I'll get a bottle of this for Christmas, just like I got a bottle of "Daytona" last Christmas. Not a bad scent, for sure, but what I really want is for some company to bottle a cologne that smells like burnt oil, hot tires and fresh asphalt! R!R!R!

RE: Mustang Cologne?!
I saw this a while back when a friend showed me on ls1tech. Of course, they were ranking on it but even I myself laugh at the ad. The guys from ls1tech mentioned not wanting to smell like *****.
