Sleeper, it's not the throttle lag, although I do have that also, even with the Brenspeed 91 tune. This is basically the engine power, be it tq or hp or both at about 2k rpm. Pressin the pedal halfway or floorin it at that rpm range does absolutely nothing. At a lower or higher rpm, pressin the pedal further has an effect, but between approx 19-22k rpm, nothing at all until it SLOWLY creeps to about 2.5k rpm then whamo, power on tap.

Don't have that problem. If I jump on it at lower rpm it climbs pretty quick. However, there is a noticeable difference after 3000, it climbs a bit faster. Maybe it has something to do with the gears. I don't have 410's but I did get 373 and there was a big change in the car.

I don't know if this will help out or not but you can reset the TB befor starting the car. push the gas
peddle down to the floor really slow like over five sec's and then back up overfive sec's thatshould reset rthe TB. I do it every now and then and the lage seem to go away for a while. can't wait to get my tuner so this isn't so bad any more.

Mine begins to really pick up after 3k, both before and after the Brenspeed 87 tune. But with the tune the transition is much smoother across that range, when stock is was more "nothing..nothing..nothing..3k - whoa!"

And I agree that it does have a lot to do with the nature of the motor.. but I actually prefer it this way - stays managable for street traffic, but know your shiftpoints and you can blast it.

I was thinking it was the build of the motor, cam profile.Maybe thats when the profile of the cams start working.

I think what is weird to me is that under or above that rpm range there is more accelleration? But right at about 2000rpm there's almost nothing. Could it have something to do with those cmcv plates that open up or whatever?

This is all very interesting, cuz I experience very similiar behavior. I notice that if I am not gettin on it from a dig, it acts like a dog. So I find if I want to start out s.......l.......o.......w, I really have to feather the clutch. But yes, around 3k she runs out like a stripped *** ape...
I am really wanting 4.10's and think that will be next on my list, as I am running stock otherwise.

I think it depends on your mods and tune -- when I had JBAs on my car, there was a lot more pull off-idle than stock. The Bassanis I have on now don't have so much power down low, but pull very strongly in the mid-range like most of the other posts are describing. Even with the same K&N intake and Fuego tune there is a noticeable difference between the two sets of axle-backs, and both are much stronger than stock.

I was going to ask the same question. I most notice it during part throttle acceleration. The car will accelerate decently, then act as if I'd backed off on the throttle for a moment around 2k or so (I haven't), then pick back up. It almost feels like the clutch delay valve in a BMW I used to have - it would prevent the clutch from being released too quickly (or quickly enough, depending on your view) and would cause a similar feeling as the clutch engaged fully. I don't think our cars have a CDV, and it doesn't really seem like that's what it is as I don't see the RPMs vary like they would with a CDV, but it gives the same kind of feeling.

I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing something like that. I guess I'll have to get a tuner...darn....

Not surprised it doesn't do much F1 cars dont have much torque....Sorry couldn't help myself. [sm=smiley36.gif]
