RE: 05 mustang order
I ordered my 05 GT with interior upgrade package on oct 15. Just called the 800 number they said car was put on the train to Norfolk on feb 5. Thanks for giving 800 number no clue why salesman did not do this, I really cant believe this has taken 4 months. But they said once on train expect it to arrive in 0 to 10 days. So it looks like the wait could finally be over Ill beleive when I see it

RE: 05 mustang order
I am new to this site so I dont know if someone said this already...BUT.. The The interior upgrade with the red leather, side airbag system, and my color is What holds the order up. All three options have had shortages that cant meet with ford manufacturer demands. I ordred the Satin Silver GT premium with the "sports appearence package" on 1/15/05 and they have a delivery date of the last week of Feb..and no later then the first week of march. They told me that mine would be pulled from the que quicker because all my options are in stock at the factory. Who needs colors on the inst. panel that dont match the rest of the interior lights? I have worked in the field of Emergency medicine for many years and let me tell you, if you get T-boned by another car, your jacked no matter how many pillows pop up next to you.. Good Luck

If you can't get it built, you've only begun to deal with all the hassles that the Ford Motor Company has in store for you.
I ordered my GT 11-22-04 with a promise of delivery by Christmas. It finally was built Jan. 20. My dealer called and said that it was due for deliverly on Feb. 5.
Finally. I'm out of the woods, right? Wrong.
It didn't show up on time. It hasn't shown up since then. I made my sixth call to customer service yesterday in effort to find out where it is and when I'm going to get it. Today they finally called back and said that it has been sitting on a holding lot since Jan. 20 for absolutely no freaking reason whatsoever.
They said there "is no excuse as to why this car hasn't been delivered" but they won't tell me what they plan to do to get it to me. Their definition of "As soon as possible" and mine are apparently very, very different.
I don't know how Ford arranges its priorities. But I have owned six new Fords over the last nine years, and I really don't appreciate the fact that they won't deliver my car a month after it has been built. I guess they're too imporatant to care about one little customer. But I am about to find a new car company. GTOs are looking better to me all the time.
