RE: i instaaled the 4.10 today, and
Ok guys, here's a question. I ordered my GT with 3.55 gears. That was one of my definite requirements knowing I was going to put 20's on it. I would haveconsidered 3.90/4.10's if they offered them. Everything felt good with the 17's, but now I have 20' rims/35 series tires and it really feels like I need more gearing again. With 20' rims would 4.10's be a better choice than 3.90's? In my truck I went all out and put 4.56 gears in with 20' (26' tall tire) and it ROARS on the highway. It's now relegated to pulling my boat around and, of course, moving my friends [:@]so it's all good.
I want my stang to be nice and somewhat docile still at 70-80 mph. My truck rushing by scares the crap out of people at 80.

Is the 3:55's the max gear you can get on a new GT with the auto tranny?
