i have tosay its a perfect gear for me.with the saleen s/c at 7 to 8 psi making 452 rwhp, its a whole new car. i give it a plus, i had the 3.55 so i didnt see the worth in 3.75, but im glad i went the way i did
which is the best for an auto? or is it even worth it?
3.90s would be optimum for a daily driver, but I would go with 4.10s even in an auto. they are approximately equivalent to 4.30s in a manual, and I ran 4.30s daily for over two years.
Why would you bother doing gears to only go from 3.31 to 3.73...I never understood it. It's not like you're gas mileage suffers much until 4.10s or higher anyways. I got 20-23mpg highway with 4.30s.
Most people say 3.73s because FRPP doesn't make a 3.90, and I hold firmly that this is the only reason that is the case.
i dont know, i havent gone over 60 yet. bt ill know tommorow night, still i will say that the rpms wind up so nice, i love it, but i have a good amountof stuff done to the car.
