RE: Where to get STRIPES in So-Cal
If Van Nuys is close enough, I know of one. They do cars for a few dealers, including one of the largest Ford dealers around. They also do many Lotus and Porsches. They charge around 700. I am thinking of doing mione there but dont know if I should go w/ black or match my rims.

i did mine my self!! 30 bucks total cost!! i took it to this vinyl shop near my house and they said they could do it. so i took it on the morning, and when i went to pick it up i saw the car with no stripes at all so im like wtf. so i come into the shop and there is this guy waiting for me and he says "you know what we where just about to finish your car but when it came to the front we just couldn't do it, so we decided to just take it all off we don't want to mess your car up, we will just give you your money back and sorry for the lost time" so i'm walking out of the shopall disappointed and off the corner of my eye i see a whole bunch of vinyl that they had printed so im like "thats the one you were using on my car?" yeah they said, so im like well are you gonna throw it away? and the're like yeah......................... well can i have it? they said yes and i just had to buy 6 more ft that i mest up when installing. it looks good from far and close. but if you go into detail they are not perfect. i'm gonna get them painted as soon as i get the bodykit i want.

I got my stripes from Baltimore Street Mods. They are one of the cheapest places around. you can also order them off ebay from them and save a little more. My husband and I installed the hood and roof stripes together. I installed the deck lid and side stripes myself. I left the backing tape on some of the pieces, and I agree that was a mistake. Just be careful if you take it off before you install. It is easy to stretch, crease and ruin the stripes. Also be careful if you use a hairdryer. If you get the stripes too hot they will stretch and it will ruin them ( I know because I ruined my spoiler stripes that way)[:@]. Just make sure and use the soap solution when installing. I couldn't believe how easy it was.

Hey GT stang, I dont have the info to the sop right now, Ill get it for you on Monday, but if you are close to Van Nuys, you have probably passed it 100+ times. The place is 1 block (200 feet) North of the 101 on the North-East corner on the Road, with frontage on Van Nuys. There is a Gas Station across the street. It say graphics on the sign, and there are usually striped cars up front. You wont miss it if you look for it. Ill get back at you Monday.

The one advantage of going with the dealer (if it is a GOOD dealer) is they warranty they work. If and when you have any problems, you have an avenue to go back to to get them fixed.
I am paying $700 more for my painted stripes next week that I was quoted from other shops, but I'm paying the extra cash to have the dealer do it for that piece of mind if something isn't right.

Has to be paint if its an option for your budget IMO. Getting my satin silver 07 painted with Mach 1 style stripes next month. Soon after 20' Mach 1 replicas should be ready for mounting.
