If its her money, fine. She still has to pay her share of the bills.

Example: Spouse #1 makes 80% or total income, and therefore pays 80% of bills (mortgage, food, & utilities).
Spouse #2 therefore makes 20%, and pays 20% of the bills.

Keeping money separate can avoid many troubles that are associated with money. Ex: the wife with the attitude "whats mine is mine, and whats yours is mine".

lol you guys are funny. After we got married is when i did all my mods. I told her and like always she doesnt mind. I told her i was going to but i wasnt planning on spending what i spent. I guess it wasnt the wife that was the problem, it was spending all the money on a car.

Here's what you do until you get this stuff installed.

1) Spread it all out on the floor of your garage.
2) Take your lawnmower and turn it upside down in the middle of your car parts
3) Walk into the house muttering "...stupid lawnmower...piece of crap..."
4) Explain how the mower broke down and you took it apart but cant find anyhting wrong, blah, blah blah need a part on back order.

The beauty of this is, you can't mow the lawn until you are ready to install the stuff into your car! Then tell her your car broke down on the way to getting the "mower parts", drop the car and when you get home the mower now works. Your a victim of circumstance. Don't forget to leave the receipts at the office.

Because the significant other can become rather insignificant when it comes down to understanding cars.

Just saying..

I have no idea why guys think it's necessary to hide what they are going to buy from their wives or significant others.

Not the smartest thing to do.

haha, im taking her to disneyland. she will forget all about it

I dont think she will be too mad. i may get a little beating, thats all
Good idea.
Take her there, then tell her.
If she responds less than favorably, don't bring her back.

Seriously though, after spending all of that money, invest a little more for a comfortable pillow and warm blanket.
You just might be riding the sofa for awhile.

Sounds like your car is going to be a beast when your done. Just slip it into a conversation about disneyland and never repeat it again.
