RE: Does anyone regret their mods?
Thanks for the great feedback ,
Im not really upset with the money spent and i love the looks i get . Just when i think about it i should have done what my mother always told me "spend your money wisely" lol. But i know someday ill get the mods that i want and im not unhappy with what i had just wish i had done it in a better order. This forum is the greatest place and i just wish i found it before i started modding my car because i could have been a lot more productive shopper.

Most people don’t regret mods until they need to sell their car and then find that the mods decreased the value. So not only do you lose all the money spent for the mods the car is worth less than blue book. One smart approach to mods is to do only bolt on stuff and save all the original parts so they can be reinstalled before you sell it. That way you can get blue book for your car and then you can sell off the mod parts and get some money for them. Seems unfair but that’s the way resale works.

As for regret, well the parted out Jeep/Ford bits are funding the Mustang build up, so in a sense I am recylcing a former hobby for a new obsession so I wouldn't say I regret owning and building a Jeep for 14 years, but that didn't answer the original question.
As for the Mustang build, I am going straight for the bang for your buck and throwing on a Whipple HO S/C. Gonna be hard for me to regret that any time soon unless the Pole-leece come find me!

I ended up removing my vinyl stripes. I just coudn't get happy with them. I didn't like them alone and I tried both yellow and red pinstripes to accent them (at different times) and just never got the look I was going for. I think I'm going to stay clean now.

I haven't done much in the way of mods, but I regret very little about the ones I have done. As has been said here before, "It's a process".

Senior moment. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
