Does anyone regret their mods?
Ok i know this isnt s197 specific but this is where i hang out and i have realized how popular modifying our cars have got compared to a lot other cars on the market and even some of the older mustangs.
I dont even have one of the more heavily modded cars on this site and i was just sitting up thinking about how much money ive put into this car 10k which isnt that big of a problem. But when i think about it if i spent my money wisely i could have a car with well over 400 hp to the ground.
If i had to do it again i would get a saleen which is what like 5000 plus install and everything that has to go a long with it to make it a solid kit id say 7000 then full exhaust would be 3000 just to make it sound good and gotta have headers with f/i that puts me at 10000 and i am looking to spend about 2000 on it now so i could have heavy suspension work and gears. I would have a pretty sick car if i spent my money wisely.
Just got me thinking do any of you guys regret your mods ?
I mean yeah i like the side exhaust it looks cool and all but if i had to do it over again i def wouldnt go that route theres a lot of other things id liked to do i pulled the trigger too quickly

RE: Does anyone regret their mods?
I regret it sometimes when I think about how much Ive spent. I sometimes think I should have built something I could get my money back out of if I had too. Butshe sure is fun to drive and she is fun to build. I think if someone offered me around what I put into her would let her go and start a new build without going as insane as I did.

Yah i just wish i had another shot at it lol. I was kinda dumb when i started so i wasted a bunch on stupid stuff. The next time i buy a car im going to make myself keep it stock for atleast two months and do a lot of research on forums like this so i know what i want to do with it.

RE: Does anyone regret their mods?
Am I sorry I started changing my stang around? Hell no......I had mine stock for 12 months and every month she looked more and more boring. Fun as could be to drive, but looked liked every other mustang on the road. I wanted my car to look and feel different, if only to me. I understand it is a lot of money, but I would rather have the good time than the money in my purse. I am older and getting older every day, life is too damn short to be like everyone else. I am glad I am a genuine "waster of money". [&:][&:][&:][&:]

shop the classified section and learn how to install everything yourself.
see my mod list? $545 including the gears, plus some stuff i had painted (mirrors, strut bar) for another $120 total, plus $25 for a couple neons i put in the footwells (including switch and wires), plus about $15 for calliper paint and calliper decals. i think that's about $705 total.

well the whipple comes with it's own unique
air intake system and the strut brace no longer
fits, with that big hunk of steel sitting on top of
the manifold
