Got a Saleen 475 Kit? Want 550??
Hey guys, your friendly neighborhood Saleen rep here!
I have a special deal for you MF users that I am not offering anywhere else! For those of you in the area (or willing to make the drive), Saleen SpeedLab is now offering the 475 to 550 upgrade kit. This kit is only available as an install at Saleen SpeedLab due to the required retooling of the blower to E-spec. The install includes: Re-tooling the blower to Extreme specs Dual Fuel Pumps HT0 spark plugs Zip Tube Tune by JDM Engineering Install time is one-week and the price is $2500 (If you already have plugs and or fuel pumps will work with you on the pricing) I don't plan on offering this to anyone other than MF members right now so when you contact me let me know your user name! EDIT: Yes the kit DOES work with automatics! |
RE: Got a Saleen 475 Kit? Want 550??
im running 481 rwhp w/10# on a stock saleen sc, htos, a single hp walbro pump, 39 lb inj, mezeire, k/n, c/l
at 15% loss this would be 565 hp on the motor. thanks to adam at st motorsports. |

so,can u please enlighten me..what is involved in the retooling of the blower..technically speaking..obviously smaller pulley and belt..I see the fuel pumps..but 4 2500 I would love 2 hear what's invoved...because by my calculations..I am only to justify roughly 800 in parts plus 110 for a canned tune...please advise

The manifold is honed and modified to change it to the 550 Specs. Also, we sell the fuel pumps for about 1200 alone. The install is labor intesive, and obviously isnt for everyone, but it is a great way for the average person who already has the standard 475hp kit to kit it up to the next level.

RE: Got a Saleen 475 Kit? Want 550??
Isn't 565hp (or something close) pushing the envelope just too far on these motors? I thought the Saleen Extremes had 'built' motors to take the extra horses?

With parasitic loss involved, your looking at around 500hp at the rear wheels which is about the maximum of what your stock engine can handle. I would not reccomend moving away from the provided tune, or trying to push any farther past that performance level without engine work.
