About to paint mirrors, what are wait times?
Hey guys. I've asked this before but I can't find the old post. Getting started with spraying tonight...
How long to wait in between coats of adhesion promotor and how long to let it dry?
THen comes primer - how long between coats and how long to let it dry?
Then base coat - how long bewteen coats and how long to dry before clear goes on?
Then clear - how long between coats?
Chances are its all the same answer lol but I wanted to make sure.... Thanks guys! Ill get pics up, assuming it looks good, otherwise I"ll just kill myself.

i didnt use adhesion and mine came out flawlessly. this is what i did. a lot of sand paper ranging from 100's to 400's. after that, clean the mirrors good. then i applied primer directly. let that dry for about 30 to 40 minutes (until it felt dry to the touch). then i went sanded that gently with a fine grit (400 something). after about 4 hours i dry sandedit againwith the same fine grit until it felt smooth as can be. then i wiped it off with wet paper towels.next i sent them to get painted, $40 a mirror for that. they came out awesome. be sure to take the mirror off and go as far inside as possible, you will be pissed if you don't.

There really isn't a universal answer. All paint systems are different, and you also need to take into consideration the temp and humidity. Try and find tech information on the system you are using online and follow it to a "t". And take it easy on the primer, you won't see it immediately but too much primer on plastics can cause problems in the future.
