Hey Nicksezz, I'm 46 years old and this is the first NEW car i've ever bought! I've been an airline pilot for over 20 years and have a family to take care of, and kept my priorities straight. Went down to the Ford dealer 4 times, and drooled over this car for a week. Finially my wife said "why don't you just buy it!!!" So....a little treat for Dad. So, you and ohsixgt1217 Keep working hard, be a stand up guy and the future is all yours guys! It makes me happy to see guys like you on here. And you both must have good parents.
NOW, time to go cruzin and listen to some real music....Aerosmith! Back in the Saddle!

Keep it up Nick,
Just like you, except this was in1978,
My dad helped me get a '72 coupe 6cyl/ 3 speed.
And I worked my fanny off at the local Pantry Pride, sackin groceries, so I could pay
for paint, rims and one of those "new" cassette players !!
Almost 30 years later my dad is in a nursing home, suffering from alzhimers and dementia,
But when I took my '06 GT there to show him,
He sat there silent, rubbing all around the dash and seats,
and looked up and said, "Son, it looks just like a '65 in here!"
That was the first time he had called me "son" in a while.....
Thanks Dad ,
I Love You....

Hey man, I totally respect the fact that you work hard for what you want. I have to say that my family is wealthy and could have easily bought this car for, but my parents are making me pay forevery penny of it all by myself.Im only 17, and it feels good to work hard for something I love. In the long run, this responsibilty will pay off. I also want to add that I just read 06blueovalblueGTpost and i got all choked up. Thats awesome man, your dad sounds like a real cool guy. Anyways, Nick, good job dude. PCE!!

Jrob27 and JfabzGt07,
First,thank you for the shout-out,
Alzihimers is a tough thing, but weare fightingthe good fight.
Yes ,Dad was the "cool-dad " to all our friends growing up. He would make homemade pizzas on
saturday night for everyone, and we would eat and watch "EMERGENCY" on tv.Fire station 51 was way before "COPS"!!! (early 70's)
Everyone was welcome and nobody went home hungry!!
My mom worked at the Ford dealership in 1970 and Dad would never get mad when it was time to go
and I would be sitting in that Grabber Yellow '70 Mach One, with the black spoiler and window slats.
He always knew where to find me,and said laterthat was when I caught the "FEVER".
Once Agian,
Thanks Dad,
Thanks Guys.
