I just turned 25. My driving record is not to good. I have a speeding ticket (20 over), careless operations, and failure to obey a highway device. 3 wrecks that are not my fault. I just purchased a 07GT and my insurance is$112 a month.

Why don't you save up 6k more... then buy a well used GT and finance the rest?

It would look exactaly the same, drive the same etc. You could invest what you save.

Seriously just buy it used.

Buy a truck or a Honda. Save the money you would be spending on insurance. The day you turn 26 go buy yourself a new mustang GT. Use the money you saved to pay down the note on your car and since your insurance will be lower mod the heck out of it. I could be mistaken but I have a feeling that you are not going to be able to get insurance (full coverage at least) for lest then $250 a month. And shame on you for stealing your dads Z06 when he was out of town and driving it illegally.

got yourlicense 2 months ago?? And your getting a New 07-08 GT? Im not trying to be a D**k or anything but dude you should probably learn how to drive before you get behind the wheel of a GT. Not bashing you but the power of a GT in a 19yr oldbrand new drivers handsis kinda scary to me.....
+1

I saved until I was 33 to but my 1st mustang GT. If you are set on getting it now, go w/ the V6, learn to drive so you don't kill anyone (or yourself) and then get a GT.

Hell, my insurance on my '83 5.0 was $289 a month when I was 21. Insurance payment was higher than the $252 car payment!

AndI can't fathomhow CG07GT can pay only $112 a month, unless it's only liability and he lives in the middle of Nebraska.
