Default Using Shaker AUX Connection with Aftermarket HU

Alright guys bringing you another sound problem
I had a shaker 500 with the built in AUX connection in the armrest by the 12v source
I picked up a new HU and it sounds great! But while installing it i noticed there was an orange wire from the factory left over (nowhere to connect to HU's harness)
The new HU has an aux connection that connects to the HU with the white/red cords and ends in a female 3.5mm headphone jack
Any ideas how I can connect the stock AUX line to the aftermarket 3.5mm line?
Thanks for any help guys!

Default RE: Using Shaker AUX Connection with Aftermarket HU

OK that orange wire usually dictates an illumination source on aftermarker equipment so do not hook that up to anything or you may find yourself without dash lights. In order to have the aux work you will have to cut the end off of the 3.5mm cable and splice it into the wiring coming off the back of the plug. Like I posted before, if you dont have experience doing this then take it to a shop and they should be able to do it for you.
