Yes for sure, the same area but not nearly as bad yet, The dealer said they would repaint or even replace my hood with another new unit in stock. I checked a new unit in stock not even delivered and it was starting the same thing already!! Whats wrong with this picture??

In any event, at least it's under warranty - it's just a question of how difficult or easy Ford wants to make it in terms of putting on a new hood!

PS - the cause is iron contamination on the aluminum panel due to cross metal contamination, possibly occuring during the assembly process....

RE: Taking My Stang To Dealer
Just got back into town. Taboo, that is exactly the same, in the same spots as well, I'll get some pics posted. My stang is Sonic Blue. I live in Northwestern PA, but keep the stang in the garage all winter, I have a beater Chevy pickup for the winter. I am going to attempt to take it in at lunch today. My concern is my warranty is up in Nov. I don't think thay can end your warranty with a documented problem. Even if they replace the hood, I don't want to have to go through this 3 years down the road, and pay out of my own pocket.
